Profile

Dr Tey Tze Tong received his degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He then went on to obtain his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the National University of Singapore. He holds the European Specialty Certificate in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (ESEGH). Dr Tey completed his senior residency training and is a Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) certified specialist in Gastroenterology.

Dr Tey enjoys practicing all areas of gastroenterology. His subspecialty interest is in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s Disease & Ulcerative Colitis), and he currently leads the Inflammatory Bowel Disease service at SKH. He completed the 18th IBD Advanced Course by the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation which was held in Vienna, Austria. He is a committee member of the hospital workgroup for outpatient biologics infusion and is involved in quality improvement projects. Dr Tey is a member of the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr Tey is interested in teaching and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He holds the appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS medical school and is Core Faculty of the Singhealth PGY1 Program, and Physician Faculty of the Singhealth Gastroenterology Senior Residency Program.

He performs the following endoscopy procedures: Gastroscopy (OGD), colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, small bowel enteroscopy (Double Balloon Enteroscopy).
